    Entry to the Sixth Form Centre

    For entry to the Sixth Form Centre, students will be expected to:

    • Achieve a minimum of 5 grade 4s at GCSE level (or equivalent) from a range of subjects including English Language.   
    • Receive a favourable reference from your previous school or college
    • Have an individual Guidance Meeting to discuss your choice of subjects and future plans.

    GCSE Mathematics

    • Students who do not achieve a grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent) will be expected to continue to study GCSE Mathematics and to retake the examination.

    Events
    • All the high schools hold Joint Talks in October, in conjunction with The Guernsey Institute (College of FE). If you or your child is currently at one of the private colleges, please come along to the Joint Talk at Les Varendes High School. Date to be confirmed.
    • The Sixth Form Centre's Information Evening is on Tuesday 10 November between 6pm-8pm. This is a chance to visit individual subjects.
    • Guidance Meetings take place in November for potential students from the private colleges and in January / February in the high schools.
    • Our Taster Day for this academic year is Thursday 14 January 2027.
